the title is 3 lines, the poem is 4

Trolling my folders for a reading next week. I have not written anything worthy in 2017, but I did write a poem with the short title Drooling on the Linoleum.  Strangely, I feel better about myself.

Drooling on the Linoleum While Attempting to
     Empty the Dish Drainer When Brushing My Teeth
     (A Prayer About Multi-tasking)

Now I stand me up to brush.
I pray, O Lord, I do not rush
nor fret o’er bridge until I cross.
Let me be still, Lord, while I floss.

I enjoyed the experience.  Inspection caused me to stop at "cross" but not the first read.

I want to write a humorous verse by the morning.

is humor.  It plays out in your poetry from time to time.  Karen, it is funny that your title is as long as your poem.  (Well, almost.)  Overwhelming to do 3 things at once.  Got it.   : )  Hang in there. . .  I don't know a writer who doesn't struggle. . . .with writing.
