Holiday Poem with serious holes Empty Holiday Poem with serious holes

Post  tsukany Fri Nov 27, 2020 11:11 am

White House

My sister was the favored one.
A pony, a poodle, a poodle skirt--
for Independence Day.

She painted her doll house
in rainbow
for Christmas, or was it
President's Day?

No matter.  I am older now
and over it.
I just fixed the cabinet
and cleaned my paintbrush.

I like it.  Everything is presidential.  Title, Independence Day, President's Day, paintbrush.
Love the thought of being over it Smile and white paint.  Rainbow. Poodle skirt tells me the decade.
You got all of it in 3 short verses.  How do you do that?
Good one.
