    Clearing Fog on a Snowy Evening

    After watching a couple old men–
    resting on their Pulitzer prizes– 
    talk about poetry on YouTube,

    I look forward to being ancient 
    enough to salt both sides 
          of the street.

    My mind does NOT work like yours!  Love how you think this stuff up, how you see the world.
    I would look for another word, other than men for line one.  Boring word for poets who are probably not boring at all.

    I always think of Donald Hall and Robert Bly first...maybe because they were friends? Is Billy Collins old enough to be called old?  Smile  Probably...

    I did not look it up on You Tube.  

    So who are they???  I may want to watch it.

    Well deserving of the Pulitzer Prize.... and O L D.  

    20th century poets. 

    I still like the simplicity they gave us, and yet, there was often a double meaning.
