Home is where …

Spring Break at the Florida Gulf
beach mirrors the northern clime
we left three days ago.  Madness

in March.  Piles of red algae
transform into the slippery snow
that outlined our driveway.

Unblinking fish form a new school,
a clique of silent solidarity.  We ferry
our swimwear as an innermost layer,

hoping to stay dry
while weathering
this latest storm.

in both places? Same looking? Mirroring....Sort of.... weathery poem
Yes, I'd advance the storyline by changing the title to something not telling.
Hmmmm.  This is a poem of two places... sounds like the same look of coldness
How about:  Looking at White Sameness  or something along that line.
Serious when you leave it and arrive in a similar place... well, not exactly, but it's the poet's thought and comparison.

I like the specifics and weather in the beginning and end of poem
Maybe you are the King and Queen of Adjustments  ?
Maybe you are the fish!

transform or turn into?
I like slippery snow and silent solidarity, ferry!, storm/ northern clime, Madness in March.
Storm is a great last word.

Good!
