Codependent

I find it disturbing 
the computer that screens 
my poetry has been three days 
in a vortex of installing 
an operating system update. 
No palette to write, read, write, read.

Oh I like it! I like the title. Really caught my attention. I liked that the computer screens your poetry; nice word play. Oh how updates can take forever! Although 3 days is a little concerning!

I relate.  Yes, I guess it is codependency.  I don't think of myself as codependent on the computer normally, so you caught me off-guard with the combination.  It's good and memorable.  Screens is a great verb and vortex is perfect.  I can see your poems whirling and totally inaccessible to you.  The only word that threw me was palette.  I connect that with making art, not reading and writing. So I don't quite know what to do with that....

I like the poem.  It says a great deal.  I can see why you are poking around.  I would be, too. BUT a good poem came out of the circumstance.
